EEGer versions 4.2 and earlier are reaching their end of service and will not be functional after 12/31/19.  EEG Spectrum International, the previous distributor of the EEGer4 software, set expirations on your licenses that will cause them to stop working after 12/31/2019, and we are unable to undo this if you are on version 4.2 or earlier.
 

To update the expiration past 2019, EEGer users on version 4.2 of the software (or older) will need to upgrade their software before the end of the year to remain operational.  If this will affect your license, you will begin seeing a countdown within your EEGer software.

 

This may also require an upgrade to your hardware - If you are using a two-computer setup on Windows XP, you will likely need to upgrade your hardware.

 

You may also be seeing a message saying "Dongle expires in XX days."  This is a separate issue that can be addressed by following the steps in this article.

 

While EEG Store is a different company (started years after ESI folded), our mission is to provide steady support for our community and the professionals who rely on the EEGer software -- this includes customers of the former companies. Still, please note that we are unable to reverse the expiration of 4.2 and older versions of the software, as the expiration is built into the software. Also, according to federal medical regulations set by the FDA, we are legally not allowed to provide support or service for those versions of the software.

 

What do I need to do?

If you’ve worked with our team you know: we work diligently and enthusiastically to provide affordable and reliable support. 

  • Fill out this form, so that we know best how to assist you. Some users simply need a keyfile renewal or to run a small program to update their dongle. Some will need to upgrade their license, but their hardware can handle the software upgrade. And some will need to upgrade their license and their hardware. Note that due to the volume of clients needing assistance, it may take us up to 2 business days to reply.

If you need to upgrade your license, we have two solutions:

  • Preferred Solution: Upgrade to the active branch -- EEGer 4.4. This version is a significant upgrade over all previous versions of the software, with increased hardware support, a new game engine, an improved interface, and much more. Upgrading to this version is a paid upgrade, but ensures you and your clients receive the best EEGer experience possible. We would like to get everyone on the most up-to-date version of the software, so for a limited time we are offering deep discounts on upgrading your license.

  • Free Option: Upgrade to the older, frozen branch -- EEGer 4.3. This frozen branch has improvements over the previous branches, but is no longer under active development. If you do not have the ability to upgrade to the latest branch, this is a good option because we are able to continue providing you with excellent support and can ensure that this version of the software will remain functional.

  • Complimentary 44 upgrades are included with new configured laptops when upgrading from 42 or earlier, a $2100 value on sale for $1200 till the end of the year.
  • Upgrade your software for as low as $250, with steeper discounts available for affiliates or when upgrading multiple dongles  (up to 78% off normal price).
