Reviewing session data is critical to the Home Use process. It allows for the supervising clinician to ensure that training is effective and positive for the client. Reviewing data is also important for identifying and addressing user error or equipment issues that clients may not be aware of.

When starting training with a client, it is recommended to review session data after each training session to ensure that the training was correctly recorded and effective. Once the home-user becomes familiar with the process and any initial issues have been addressed, some clinicians begin reviewing data on a weekly or monthly basis.

There are two main ways to review Home Use session data:

  1. Review Session Data via Consultation Export (.ECE)
  2. Remotely connect to the Home Use system and review the session data directly. This method does not require consultation files to be created, which may be more convenient for some users.

On older systems that use flash drives for client storage, the following method can be used to copy files directly from the Home Use flash drive onto the clinical EEGer system.

  1. Connect the Home Use flash drive to the clinical EEGer system. Ensure the clinical dongle is connected to the computer before opening EEGer.
  2. Navigate to Client>Remote-use Options>Retrieve Remote-use Data from USB Memory Stick from the top toolbar of EEGer's main screen.

This will begin the process of importing session data from the flash drive onto the clinical system. Once exported, the data can be viewed within the Client ID used to create Home Use files.
