Designed by Ardea Games with meditation and relaxation in mind, Lotus Pond utilizes a simple, easy-to-understand concept. When in a rewardable state, in the center of the pond a lotus flower blooms. When the client doesn't meet the thresholds set by the clinician, the flower tentatively begins to close.
Visual feedback is also provided by koi fish and butterflies. There are thermometer bars to show amplitudes of individual inhibit and reward traces. For stability and variety, the time of day of the meditation progresses. Further bonus feedback is provided when in a sustained rewardable state by a gentle glow from the flower.
As this is a feedback display for EEGer, the clinician can tailor the feedback -- on a client-by-client basis or globally for all training sessions. The clinician can modify the type of statue, color of the lotus, and the rates at which koi fish and butterflies appear. Flexible and attractive, Lotus Pond offers a serene, engaging environment to help in mindfulness practice, and other kinds of neurofeedback training.
Like all Ardea Games, for best results, Lotus Pond requires:
